The Boston Convention and Exhibition Center

The Boston Convention and Exhibition Center is the crown jewel of the convention and exhibition centers located in the North East United States (and won the Convention Center of the Year Award from Event Solutions Spotlight Awards in 2007). While it certainly isn’t the only option in the North East, or Boston, MA itself, which is also home to the famous Hynes Convention Center, The Boston Convention and Exhibition Center is a large (2.1 million+ square feet of convention and meeting space) located in the South Boston Waterfront.

The Boston Convention and Exhibition Center is not located in the main city, but it’s relatively new construction (the center was opened in 2004) saw an increase in development in the South Boston neighborhood in which it is located. Hotels, restaurants and retail shops are available in the immediate area of The Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. However, it is worth noting that the center is accessible to the main city via multiple public transportation options and is easily accessible from Boston’s Logan Airport.

The Boston Convention and Exhibition Center supports a main exhibition floor with three (3) bays in which separate trade shows can be hosted at the same time; however, these bays can also be combined to support one large show, conference or event. The building itself is beautifully constructed of sweeping glass architecture that offers amazing views of Boston and South Boston Waterfront.

The Boston Convention and Exhibition Center offers:

  • 2.1 Million Sq.Ft. of flexible space
  • 500,000+ Sq.Ft. of continuous floor and exhibit space that can be divided into as many as 10 separate areas for tradeshows and conventions.
  • Nearly 100 individual meeting rooms and break-out areas.
  • A 40,000 Sq.Ft. ballroom that offers unrestricted views of the Boston waterfront and skyline.
  • Wi-Fi and cell phone coverage.
  • Multiple video and media options including a media tower and video wall.
  • 62 covered loading bays.
  • 11 “Elephant” doors with exhibition floor access.
